While in Grade 7 at St. Mary’s School in Lynn, Sr. Theresa’s teacher who was an SND Nun, spoke about vocations during religion class. She gave the example of vocations such as a mom, dad and she as a nun. She told the students, that if they wanted to be close to Our Mother Mary, they should pray three Hail Marys each day. These three prayers would direct them to the vocation that the Lord was calling them. Sr. Theresa began praying the three Hail Marys nightly and as a sophomore in high school knew that she had a vocation to the religious life. She chose to enter the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur rather than pursue a full basketball scholarship to Northeastern University. To this day she has continued to pray her three Hail Marys faithfully and has never looked back.
She has shared her love for learning and her devotion to Mother Mary with hundreds of children who have passed through her classroom doors.
Join us as we honor Sr. Theresa with her past students and friends on March 2, 2019. It will be a night filled with 40+ years of wonderful, wonderful, wonderful St. Mary of the Annunciation School memories!
